Since we no longer have living relatives in the Bay Area, we're free to go down to Loscon (in Burbank, CA). So our current Thanksgiving dinner tradition is to drive down 101 and stop for lunch at Pea Soup Andersen's in Buellton, which serves a full, multi-course turkey dinner (in addition to their regular menu, which the kids often prefer).

And, of course, the con will be fun, too. The only bad part is driving back Sunday afternoon.

Due to Hell Week for Forum starting on Sunday, we have decided not to attend LosCon this year.

We normally have a early Thanksgiving dinner, then hit the road around 4pm. Stopping along the way for regular potty breaks and "snacking."

We would often see families having their full blown Thanksgiving meal at a rest stop.

We were never sure if that was really cool or really sad.
