Today I am grateful for...

  • Ticia. A little tricky to sleep with because pointy, but still a darling. And it's nice to have someone to sleep with.
  • Luggage. Actually needing a new piece of luggage, because my elderly Travelpro rollaboard has a deteriorating zipper. Having an excuse to spend hours looking at luggage without feeling (too) guilty about it.
  • Eyedrops and eyelid wipes. Not so thankful about needing them.
  • A vaccination (for shingles, yesterday) with minimal side-effects so far.
  • Reliable public transit. (Not here, unfortunately.)

Hi!

A few days ago you said something about seeing an immigration lawyer in the Netherlands. Are you planning to move there?

Sounds like I'm not the only one that loves luggage! So many factors to weigh and balance, starting with, well balance. Do you want 2 wheels (more streamlined for pulling) or 4 wheels (sits and waits for you to move without falling over)? What do you like to put in your outside pockets: little things like boarding pass, glasses and phone charger or big things like jackets and water bottles? Or do you say damn the outside pockets - I want a HARD SHELL that nothing can break through? And that's even before you start thinking about whether you want a big open space on the inside or lots of perfect little zipper pockets. Have fun shopping!

I know. There are so many options in luggage. I was going to get a new set until I ended up on O2 for the COPD. There's no point now, since I can't travel far. It's a good thing we have a great house. It made the pandemic easy to handle. My life is so pathetic that the pandemic changed almost nothing. All we did was add masks and get vaccines. Riverside County came to me for the first three times, the last in the nursing home (yup, they came to see me). They petted Honor as she was flirting with them: “I'm a pretty girl. Worship me.”

I think Monroe fits that bill. Dad scruffs him and I clip his claws. He loves Dad and will forgive him anything, and I have the best coordination, vision, and experience in clipping claws. Achilles doesn't use his on humans, just cat trees and scratch posts. Bear is a scratch post girl.
