It's been an exhausting week, but we're gradually making the house habitable. Things have started to arrive, mostly from $A, although there's also a company called Flink that delivers groceries (but has limited choices). We have WiFi, thanks to my having purchased and set up a cheap TP-Link router. We don't have chairs yet, thanks to very poor planning. My brain is barely functional at this point, and I was suffering from decision fatigue and depression last night.

We have a chair on order, which is supposed to be here tomorrow. Of course I could have said the same thing Friday, which would have been overoptimistic. We have a pot, a frying pan, pasta, pesto, and a few other -- not exactly staples, but food items. I have been making bad decisions partly due indecisiveness, partly due stupidity, and partly due to trying to only order things for next-day or two-day delivery.

Also regretting some of my pack-vs-ship decisions. With luck the boat will get here in December.

It's 19:30 here, and I should probably stop trying to do anything that requires thinking.

-> the piping under the kitchen sink is a rat's nest. near as I can tell the
instant-hot-water tap is disconnected -- it was apparently there at one time -- and
the device in its place is an on-demand water heater. The house hot-water line
       goes to the dishwasher.
-> the icemaker and cold-water dispenser in the fridge does not work; it's even
possible that it's broken, although the fact that there's ice in the ice-maker
basket indicates that it was working at one time. It's possible that the pipe
going to the fridge has been disconnected (in the rat's nest under the sink)
-> there's a temperature probe sitting on the kitchen counter, but no indication of
which -- if any -- of the appliances it plugs into.
-> the 6 or so sets of Accuride slides don't seem to fit anything, and may be left
over from an earlier iteration of the kitchen island. They have been moved to the
bike room. (which cant function as a bike room because the door is blocked by the
       wall-mounted storage units.)
  * I have reset the language on the microwave to English. Go me!
: the new washing machine left water all over the floor. I am inclined to blame the
drain rather than the door seal, but we'll let Cool Blue deal with that.
  * order plastic folding chairs (for deck eventually), side table/laptop table.
& trying to configure the TP-Link router that arrived today as an access point. It is
