For purposes of this meme, I'm going to exclude the house and cars from consideration as "possessions".
1. What's the oldest possession you own? Possibly the dining-room table, which Colleen inherited. There may be a couple of books in the house that are older.
2. What one possession have you owned the longest? There are some childrens' books that I've had since I was too young to read them.
3. What's the most expensive possession you own? Excluding the house and cars, the 1952 Martin O15 guitar (Snuggles) is probably the current top in resale value; I bought it at a garage sale. The old Mac II is the computer I paid the most for, but it's currently worthless. Pick one.
4. What's the most precious (to you) possession you own? Snuggles.
5. What's the rarest possession you own? Most likely one of the out-of-print filk tapes.
6. What's the oddest, strangest, or silliest possession you own? Just one? We have quite a few sculptures by Don Simpson, after all. But the fuzzy Cthulhu slippers are right up there.
7. What's the newest possession you own (not food)? I bought a new 256MB keychain drive this morning at Fry's.
8. Which of your possessions most sums up your personality? Snuggles. (Though a lot of my personality can be seen in the bumper stickers on her case.) Well-used, well-loved, getting old, a little banged-up, capable of making good music in the right hands; quiet most of the time.
