Mine was occasioned by a mention in an overall C+ Dutch book, The Book of Books. It's worth a library loan for the illustrations, while the text is unreliable. If you're interested in book history, I can strongly recommend Keith Houston's The book : a cover-to-cover exploration of the most powerful object of our time
