Crashed about 9:30 last night; got up at about 7 feeling mostly better. Didn't sleep solidly all that time; the [livejournal.com profile] flower_cat and I kept waking each other up. But it seems to have been enough. My flu-like symptoms from yesterday were pretty-well gone by noon, so I'm guessing it was a 24-hour virus of some sort.

Went out in the morning to Office Depot to get the [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf her new camera, a Nikon Coolpix 4100. OD had it for $50 less than anyone else. The Wolfling will pay me back from her allowance over the next few months. Maybe the Bank of Dad should charge interest? On the way home I stopped in at Guitar Center and ended up buying a Road Runner gig bag that they had on sale. Exact same price as the Elfa hanging-file cart I'd been thinking of getting at the Container Store. Nice thing about the gig bag is that it has a detachable shoulder bag that holds my notebook, so I'll only have one thing to carry to filks.

The Cat seems to be doing fairly well, and is much more comfortable the new, smaller bras she picked up yesterday. It's still not clear just what her digestive-tract problem is; she has an appointment with a specialist tomorrow. The sigmoidoscopy (that's the one where they shove a video camera up your arse) Friday didn't show any problems, not that I was expecting it to. Good to have it over with, though.

Something is going around. I wish mine was a 24-hour, but I got the 48-hour version. Problem is, I was just too stubborn to give in to it, on Sunday. Even though I was getting dizzy and living on aspirin. I at least had the sense not to use the chainsaw, and limited myself to pruning, before crashing entirely. Which might be why it carried through Monday.
