Filk and so on

The housefilk last night was pretty good -- very laid-back. Even though it nominally started at 3:00, there was only one other guest present when we arrived around 4. The singing didn't actually start until after dinner, by which time there was a respectable number of guests (including johno and chriso -- hi there!). Probably some other LJ'ers; wouldn't surprise me.

Anyway, singing got underway around 6:30 or 7:00. We had leave early, having foolishly promised our younger daughter we'd be home before her bedtime (10:00). Well, it was that or have problems getting her up on Monday...

In other news, I've just found out that the father of one of my daughter chaoswolf's friends is a musician, has a CD in progress, and will be at Consonance. Website at http://ricksongs.com/ I can tell we're going to have to do some serious hanging-out.
