I've left out states I've merely driven through, and probably a few I simply don't remember. I've lived in New York, Connecticut, Minnesota, and California.

Before the gig

Everyone else is already at FurCon for the day. I crashed early (around 12:40) last night; I'm fending off a bit of a cold. Emmy and flower_cat came in around 2:30. Dinner last night was much better; I had baby back ribs. Not undercooked, but not falling-off-the-bone tender the way they should be, either.

Apart from chaoswolf and figmo's interview with Heather Alexander yesterday, and a long conversation about home recording afterwards, I spent most of yesterday admiring the costumes and browsing the Web from my laptop. The battery is shot, so I was restricted to places where I had access to AC.

Back to sequencing my setlist. Someday I'll do this before the last possible minute; right now it's just a matter of shuffling the pages I've pulled from my songbook. I need to write a program, that's what I need to do. Later. Be a good way to learn Javascript.

After the gig

Went pretty well; I've been fighting off a cold, the main effect being that I'm hitting the low notes a little more solidly than usual. Can't complain about that. Audience a dozen or so; the room was small enough that they didn't rattle around and make lonely noises in it.

It was a bit challenging finding songs in my repertoire that involve animals; I ended up stretching the point considerably, as you'll see if you peruse...
