Well, that was mildly exciting

Replaced the battery in my UPS a few minutes ago. All went well except that I managed to pull the plug on my news/dialup server (on the other UPS, which was on top of the stack and so had to be moved first). The supply doesn't seem to have noticed that it has a new battery; I'll probably have to wait for it to self-test again, unless I want to power down. Think I'll wait 'til tomorrow morning after I run the backups.

So now I have a bit of a problem

I scored an Antec Sonata case at Fry's -- $60 after a $30 rebate. Not only is it gorgeous, it's quiet. But now I have to figure out which system it will do the most good to repackage, or whether I should just buy a new CPU/motherboard/memory for it.

Too many choices.
