The weekend so far

Spent most of my computer time today continuing the ongoing rationalization of my website, plus a little time starting to work out setlists for my concert and kids' singalong at Baycon in (*urk!*) six days.

Took the chaoswolf out for a driving lesson. It was not particularly successful; I'm not a professional driving instructor who knows exactly what to say and doesn't get flustered or tongue-tied, and don't have a dual-control car. Either of which would have kept us out of trouble. Fortunately the juniper bush was a kinder, gentler bush; there was no damage on either side. But we decided she needs professional lessons first.

Since the Wolfling's old Fujitsu laptop is dying (bad disk, bad CPU fan, and forgotten BIOS password), our next stop was Fry's. Found a line of compact HP systems -- very cute, quiet little Pentium M boxen. Came home and did a little comparison shopping; I'll pick one up for her tomorrow while she and the flower_cat are at the Baycon meeting.
