Some of the headlines are inspired. The winner has to be "SCO files Chapter 11 bankruptcy - Seeks court protection from its own lawsuits". My personal favorite is, "SCO files for Chapter 11, threatens business as usual."

Somewhere in the office...

... it sounds as though a bearing is slowly grinding itself to death. It might even be coming from trantor, my workstation. Since the power supply, case, and motherboard are all quite new (a few months, tops), suspicion naturally falls on the hard drive.

The one I just spend much of the weekend re-installing onto. Fortunately it's a client machine, meaning the disk is expendable.

Fading rapidly

Yesterday I got up at 7am, walked five miles, had a big dinner, stayed awake all evening, and stayed up until after midnight. Not today: got up about 8am, walked only three miles, and I'm fading fast at a quarter to 10. Grumble.

Wonder if the difference was the cup of espresso I had with dinner last night. Hmm.

We did manage to go to Costco and sign up; we'd let our membership lapse when the flower_cat wound up her little flower business. Now I'm the one with a tax number...
