mdlbear: (wtf-logo)

I have no idea what the heck I'm doing awake at four in the morning. But as long as I'm here, I might as well post my itinerary for next week's trip to Seattle:

   Wed 1/28 Alaska flight 325 (SJC 1pm - SEA 3:11)
   Mon 2/2 Alaska flight 322 (SEA 8pm - SJC 10:07)

I'll be staying at the Big Green Monster Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday nights. Contact information, as usual, at Grand Central Starport.

(added 7:00) My half-hour concert set at Conflikt will be at 3pm on Sunday.

... if only by my fingernails. Managed to get through this afternoon's TPN disconnect without falling apart, in spite of some minor crosstalk, a couple of flubs, and the fact that I'd somehow managed to overtighten the cap when I changed it yesterday. I still have one more trick to try tonight before throwing in the towel and calling for help. (21:05 paper towel didn't work; metaphorical towel will be officially thrown tomorrow with a call to the infusion clinic. No, the general rule of "if you can't do it right, use ViceGrips does not apply in this case.)

I'll do it in the bedroom from now on; if nothing else, not having to kneel down will take a lot of strain off my knees, and not having to bend over will take a lot of strain off my back.

Joyce drove Colleen to Furcon this afternoon. It's good to see her getting out of the house, even though it's only short excursions with help. I worry about next weekend.

I have a headache. It's not helping.

Had my (approximately) annual physical today; I appear to be basically healthy. Even my blood pressure was in range after the doctor re-checked it -- between that last cup of coffee and my insistance on walking up the stairs it tends to be high at first.

The only things slightly out of normal range were HDL (3 points low) and triglycerides (7 points high). He says taking five or ten pounds off would fix those. If I can find time to walk! Well, I lost over 10 last year; it wouldn't hurt to snack less and be stricter about carbs.

I also got a referral to the allergy clinic for testing and hopefully desensitization. It worked for my severe poison ivy reaction years ago. I'm pretty sure that my seasonal post-nasal drip is an allergy, but in any case there's a way of finding out. This may also confirm the gluten sensitivity.

Picked up fliers for various courses, mostly in the area of mental health. Still rather depressed, and barely coping.
