A fairly busy day; a lot of stuff got mailed. Getting the taxes off, in particular, was a great relief. I walked down to the pond, but the water was too murky to see the koi.

The usual aches and pains; they didn't get bad until evening; I took some cyclobenzaprine before going to bed. I'm not sure which helped more: that, or the shoulder rub I got from T a little before she left. It would be nice if my body would just plain work. That, and my flying car...

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for:

• Colleen, and her continuing progress.
• My sister-of-choice, my sister-of-choice-in-law, and my sister-in-law-of-choice. (Parsing the latter two is left as an exercise for the reader. Hint: the "in" in the last one should probably be "out".)
• My Younger Daughter, especially for filling in on the dishes while my shoulder was healing.
• screaming_angel, for continuing to hack away on the Younger Daughter's computers.
• Friends with skills I don't have, especially Andrew, who is organizing our November 14 work party.
• Unemployed and underemployed friends with cars.
• The six-month deadline for filing taxes after an extension.
• Low taxes on capital gains.
• A job that still gets me health insurance via Kaiser.
• Koi.
