Took a walk after lunch with $grandboss -- a good discussion. I mentioned feeling somewhat out of the loop on design and decisionmaking. A couple of hours $boss came over and told me about the upcoming SDK project he expects me to be working on after the current stuff, involving a lot of architecture and high-level design. Coincidence? Probably not.

Some progress on the actual coding, and got a vital piece of internal API nailed down in the morning. Definitely some communication problems.
