mdlbear: portrait of me holding a guitar, by Kelly Freas (freas)

Quote of the (yester)day: Colleen: "When I get depressed I cry." // Me: "... and I sing "The Mary Ellen Carter."

It's very nearly true. So after I said that, I naturally had to back it up: I sang "Bells of Norwich", "When I Go", "Ripple", and "The Mary Ellen Carter". All of which I've written about on earlier Saturdays, but it seemed as though this would be a good time to reprise them.

And I couldn't think of anything else to write about, except maybe "Why the Black Death was not the bubonic plague" by Seanan McGuire. Which I'd consider informative, but not exactly uplifting.

I note in passing that I haven't written anything particularly uplifting, either, except for Keep the Dream Alive (mentioned in this s4s), and maybe "Millennium's Dawn".

Anyway... Feel free to add more songs in the comments, and maybe we'll get together to sing them when all this is over.
