Thankful Thursday

Today I am grateful for...

• Having Ticia and Desti with me in Seattle. (Although that also means that I won't have them on Whidbey. It would be nice to have both, but...)
• N's help with cat herding. Getting Ticia and Desti into their carriers on Sunday, and the other three to their long-delayed vet appointments yesterday.
• My improvised cat-gate, which seems to be remarkably effective. Fortunately.
• Having enough financial headroom to handle an unexpectedly expensive series of vet bills. That happens when there are five cats in the household and three of them haven't been seen by a vet since before the plague years.
• Similar gratitude applies to my own dental bills, because what I scheduled this morning blows past the limit of what my dental insurance will cover this year.
• Whatever good genes I inherited from my mom.
