2022-09-25 11:50 amAs I write this I have gone to the main house for breakfast, so I've left the purring cats in the studio. But still, purring cats.
A lot of my attention over the week was spent dealing with the new CPAP. I need to write a review soon. (Which won't do me much good, but will at least document the problems.) The display, which tells me how long I've been using the thing (see "S=..." in the notes), is located on top and too small to read easily in any case. The phone app, which I could otherwise use to get the same information in readable form, relies on Bluetooth. Unlike most BT devices, the CPAP has to be re-paired every time it's powered up. Which includes both commuting between Seattle and Freeland and, apparently, middle-of-the-night power glitches.
On the other hand I've been practicing more, and did a fair amount of walking yesterday. Partly from leaving my phone in the car -- that happens almost every time I use Google Maps for directions. I also tend to leave it next to my bed in the morning. It probably says something about me that half the exercise I get most days is going back and forth to retrieve my phone. I don't think I want to know what it says, do I?
Friday's event was a "Ceremony of Remembrance" organized by The Healing Center, which is the organization that provides my grief support group. Nice opportunity to see a few of the people in the group in RL instead of zoom, light a candle, and say a few words about Colleen. And they started the ceremony with a piper. Bagpipes make everything better. Like cats.
