Weekend update

chaoswolf is a bad influence (and vice versa) -- took her to Guitar Showcase this afternoon to look at classical travel guitars (for her class next quarter), but it was the little black Martin that spoke to her. We're going to wait a bit in any case. Anyway she also found a strap she liked (bright yellow, with the words "Police line -- do not cross" in black letters), and while there I got caught by a black strap with red dragons -- perfect for Ruby.
On the way home we went to the Container Store to get shelf brackets for the sewing room, and the Woof spent altogether too much time looking at luggage. She gets that one from me, I'm afraid.
That was the second shopping expedition of the day; the first was a drive with theflower_cat, with the goal of eventually ending up at Bed, Bath and Beyond because they were having a sale on a self-inflating airbed with legs, and the sewing-room futon's frame had recently disintegrated (victim of a combination of poor design and glue-starved joints). As it turned out, the airbed wasn't particularly comfortable, and the other one they had wasn't really suitable for use in a sewing room (where there might be pins on the floor), so we ended up getting a cot at the local camping store. Practically indestructable, rated for 500 pounds.
Working back through the weekend brings us to Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, most of which I spent sorting receipts for tax time. I use the shoebox method of tax prep: toss everything into a box and sort it out at the last moment. I still have the bank and investment statements to go through; I was going to do them today but...
