Tax update (final)
2005-04-15 12:23 amWell, the forms are printing. I couldn't track down the hotel receipts from Loscon, so that's one deduction out the window. It's a bit dubious anyway (out-of-pocket expenses for a non-profit convention; might work, OTOH it might get me audited). And there was some computer hardware that I probably could have written off but decided not to -- again, didn't want to push my luck.
So they go in the mail in the morning, because I'm darned if I'm going to pay $15 extra to beat my head against the e-filing idiocy yet again. Now I can get back to the fun stuff, like cleaning the office, pulling weeds in the front yard, and arranging for my next sigmoidoscopy.

Date: 2005-04-15 05:46 pm (UTC)I bought Turbo Tax for the first time in over a decade, this year, and used it, and it reported that it e-filed both my state and federal returns just fine. Should I be concerned about something?

Date: 2005-04-15 06:03 pm (UTC)The other thing is that it costs some $15 extra (with TaxCut -- your mileage may vary); even with certified-mail/return-receipt, postage only cost me $10 this year.
