Friday wrap-up

Well, the dry run went well. Our presentation got ripped to shreds, of course, but in the best possible way: move the main points to the front (forget about building up to a punchline), drop the slides that don't advance the story, tighten up the demos, ... The real thing will be good.

For some reason, it's hard for me to see what I've really accomplished over the course of a year until I've had to chop away enough of the interesting distractions to the point where other people could figure out which of the remaining things were really important, and where they fit in to what everyone else is doing.
