mdlbearAs of about 40 minutes ago she's out of surgery and doing fine. The surgeon came out wearing a smile of the sort I associate with someone who's just solved an "interesting" problem -- apparently rather than having a single hole, her abdominal wall looked something like swiss cheese. It's been repaired with a sizeable piece of mesh underneath the fascia.
She should be out of post-op and in a room in about an hour and a half; I'll post the number later today. She'll be spending the night, and coming home tomorrow morning. I'll go over in a little bit, call thechaoswolf from the hospital, then come back home 3-ish to collect the kids for a visit.
Needless to say, I'm very relieved.
added: I did manage to get back to the hospital in time to be with her for a while in pre-op.
