The federal tax refund check finally showed up yesterday; a very welcome addition to my always-marginal bank balance.

The flower_cat is getting somewhat stir-crazy, but still isn't really in shape to sit up for long periods of time, or go too long without her drugs (though she's been sleeping through the night without them lately).

My federal showed up a week or two ago. I was wondering where my state check was. I got a letter from them today, saying I'd made a mistake on my taxes. They owe me $20 more than I thought they did.

When it's gonna be a mistake, I like when it's this kind of mistake.

My sympathies to the cat. Having just had rotator cuff surgery about ten days ago, I know *exactly* how she feels. About the only thing keeping me sane right now is fanfic and a DVR that hunts down and tapes old movies for me.
