Just had our washer delivered. Guy came in, measured, took the back door off its hinges, pulled the old washer (giving me just barely enough time to clean the space), put in the new one (with an assistant), tested it, put the door back, and was gone. Total time, about 10 minutes. OK, mr_kurt, I will be at work today.

Have to figure out a good way to fasten the drain hose to the back corner of the sink; it's jury-rigged at the moment.

Absolutely! We're out of town from Thursday the 25th through afternoon of Sunday the 28th (when we'll be driving up from LA); give us a call Sunday evening. Emmy (super_star_girl) has already started school as of this morning, and will be staying with jilara -- I'm not sure what they have planned for the weekend, but a call to the Starport this evening would get you more information. (And we'd love to hear from you!)
