Geeking at the con
2005-08-26 11:14 amNothing starts at ConChord until at least noon. The kids are swimming.
The Linux box is now happily routing -- good thing I brought a spare ethernet card and a switch. The key to resetting the DHCP lease seems to be power-cycling the interface box. Next time I'll bring one of the little airlink wireless routers. And a decent keyboard.
Eventually, like before the next trip or con, I ought to put together a set of config files to turn this laptop into an actual, useable router for situations like this. (And of course I could then use it on other machines at home and elsewhere -- seems like a useful thing to be able to do.)
