... or at least your shape. From make:blog comes a link to "Clone Yourself A Fitting Assistant" in Threads magazine. The article describes four methods: two involving duct tape, one with papier mache, and one with brown paper tape.

[livejournal.com profile] ocelotn dragooned me into making one of these a few years ago, using duct tape. You need a helper (or two), but if you're careful, you can get a very good dress form.
It does take a while to do the whole thing, so bear that in mind. And the person getting the form is essentially immobilized for the duration.
