Burn, baby, burn

I finally managed to get a CD together for grendies
to take home; I'd wanted to put "The Mary Ellen Carter" and "Ship of
Stone" on it, but was too busy with the Y.D.'s science project, party
prep, and other insanity to record them. Grump. Final track list was:
Cicero in the Twenty First Century
Paper Wings
Paper Pings
Daddy's World
The Stuff that Dreams are Made Of
Bigger On The Inside
Silk and Steel
The Rambling Silver Rose
I Wanna Be a Webmaster
Vampire Mega-Byte
Rainbow's Edge
High Barratry
Bound For Hackers' Heaven
Millennium's Dawn
Guilty Pleasures
The World Inside the Crystal
It was all something of a half-assed rush job; sorry about that. The only
real accomplishments were some last-minute script debugging
(the latest cdrdao
seems to be having trouble with PREGAP,
and I finally tracked down the glitch that was giving me the
alphabetically last .wav
file for a song, instead of the most
recent). I also did a little last-minute tweaking on balance and levels
on a couple of songs, and started making notes
files so I can
keep track of what I'm doing. It's not clear why it's taken me two years
to get to this point.
With luck I might be able to get a couple of tracks cut over the weekend before Mom's visit, and can ship updates to the people I owe them to.
