I tried our new walk-in bathtub last night. Not bad, but I think I'll take most of my baths in the traditional tub in front. The main problem was that, by the time it was mostly full, we were out of hot water. I raised the water-heater temperature another notch, which should help a little at the cost of making it a little more dangerous to do the dishes. I can cope with that.

The only other problem was the fact that, for the first half-minute or so, the water is cold. This doesn't matter in a regular tub, because one doesn't get in until it's warmed up a little. The solution in the walk-in appears to be to put your feet up.

Another thing you can do with the walk-in...
Similarly where I reside has the issue where it's really cold at first.

Crank it _full_ on hot water...
It is a tad wasteful but wait until it gets hot then toggle it down ^^;;;
