Took me all evening, but I finally got a clean take for "TEOTWAWKI v2.0". One slightly off consonant, but I'll let it pass. I'll want new strings before I tackle "Silk and Steel" -- more than any other song, it really ought to have that sweet, shimmery new-string sound. (Yes, as a matter of fact, I do use Martin Silk and Steel strings. Why do you ask?)

(Aside to cflute -- you are coming down early for Consonance, aren't you? Sounds [according to johno] as though you might be on tap for more than one project. The Starport Hotel is open as usual.)

Yes, I'm definitely planning on coming down for Consonance. Have booked both Fri and Mon off, in fact. Perhaps I could even do the Weds night fly-in, telecommute Thurs thing again (I have a wireless card now, whee!), that way we'd have Thurs and whatever part of Fri you can spare to record, *before* the con ('cause I know my brain is likely to be toast on the back end, as usual from "playing hard").

Hmm, if johno has notions of recruiting me for some particular harmonic mayhem, he hasn't informed *me* about such.

Anyway, yes I'll be there, and I'm always up for recording backing tracks for you, logistics permitting! :)

That would be great! There's usually good filking the Wednesday before Consonance, and my schedule is flexible enough that I shouldn't have any trouble taking Thursday and Friday off. (I'd take Friday off anyway, in case there's programming Friday afternoon.)

I seem to recall johno mentioning a couple of other people, but don't remember exactly who they were. Oh yes: figmo was one.

Anyway, things finally seem to be coming together in the general direction of a CD -- I got quite a lot done over the weekend.
