Sunday at the Zoo

We took the kids to the San Francisco Zoo yesterday.  Exhausting but fun. They've done quite a lot of work since my last visit, including a brand-new lemur exhibit next to the primate center, and a new, indoor cafeteria called the ``Leaping Lemur,'' with a considerably-improved menu.  They even had beer and sushi (California roll and related rolls).

I was more tired than usual afterward -- could I be getting old?  Next time I'll skip the beer.

Later in the evening Emmy asked for checkers -- we played 3 games.  She's getting better; I made a couple of stupid mistakes on the last game (only the second one was deliberate, and she was already ahead at that point) and got creamed.
