All very true -- math and philosophy fall well outside the sciences, as do music and computer science (any field that has to put "science" in its name, probably isn't). Come to think of it, that works both ways -- science was once called "natural philosophy", distinguishing it from real philosophy.
It's the recognition that one might be wrong that makes it possible to have a rational discussion about ethics.
