Everything I like...
2002-08-01 08:15 am... is either illegal, imoral, or fattening. To which I can now add "or bad for my TM joint".
Basically,
chewing on things that are either hard, like the sourdough pretzels I buy
in bulk and keep in my office, or chewy, like bagels (the lox has no effect),
are bad for my jaw joint. Worst of all, of course, would be something that's
both hard and chewy like my all-time favorite snack, beef jerky.
On
the plus side, it seems that the problems are largely due to clenching and
grinding my teeth, which apparently has also caused my tinitus. So I may
be able to solve both problems by changing my habits.
Pigs can learn to fly, can't they?
