It's probably just as well that I don't remember who landscaped our back yard. Among other things, they put in this monstrosity of a jungle vine -- passionflower, I think -- that produces beautiful, huge orange flowers but has basically taken over.

I spent about two hours trying to disentangle it from the jacaranda tree. I won the fight, eventually, but one of the branches broke, and there are still some bits of vine clinging to branches I can't reach. Grr.

I don't think anyone's worked on the back yard for over a year. I don't have much free time, and hate gardening; [livejournal.com profile] flower_cat has time and likes to garden, but her arthritis keeps her from doing much.

I'm tempted to pave it and paint it green.

hire the gardener who did you back
landscaping. Growing a cactus from
seed may be worse than having a child
since you can never declare it grown up
and kick it out of the house.
