mdlbearI am so fscking tired of beating my head against Windows! What a piece of crap!
I've been trying to get Win98 to install on an ASUS motherboard, 700MHz Duron CPU, ancient ATI Radeon video card. RedHat 7.3 installs just fine, thanks. The MB and video card both claim to support Win98. Windows gets as far as its second reboot, and complains that it can't find KERN386.EXE (I think that's it). Comes up ok in safe mode, but that doesn't help.
The objective, of course, is to get Emmy a machine capable of running her new games. I now have exactly a week before she gets back from camp. This is not going to be fun.

amuse the person who helped build it.
We keep the old machine it replaced
as a reliable backup for the times it
needs to go to the shop. A recent set
of software patches helped alot.
I hope Emmy is having a great time
