... and keepin' old Cheney down (with apologies to Phil Ochs). But I couldn't resist, now that Chris Dodd (D-CT) has succeeded in stopping the FISA bill with its retroactive immunity for telco wiretapping.

It'll be back in January, but that's a whole new year, and a few more senators may be thinking about how it will look on their record.

I'm glad there is one Democrat with some balls. I was beginning to wonder. Speaking as a mother, it is never wise to give in when the two year old has a tantrum, and lately I have been referring to Dubya as the toddler in chief. As for Cheney, his carefully woven web is coming unwound as scandal after scandal is being revealed. We will never get justice, but I would be satisfied if he and all his cronies could never go anywhere publicly without being jeered at and spat upon. Yeah, I'm vindictive.
