When I started out for my walk this morning it was overcast but basically clear. About 45 minutes later, somewhere into my third circuit of the Rose Garden, it started to rain. It was a very gentle rain, with no wind, but it did get steadily heavier. By the time I got home I was intensely aware of the fact that my raincoat needs to be re-waterproofed.

On the other hand, I don't particularly mind walking in the rain (as long as it isn't too cold or too heavy), and I needed to put those clothes in the laundry today anyway.

Oh, dear. I take it it was neither too cold or too heavy, just *wet*....

One of these days I need to actually *use* the stuff I bought to waterproof my PolarTec...

Grace has a book about a baby duck who doesn't like the rain. I'm glad you don't seem to mind it. :)

The thought of a long walk being something on which you can expect lack of passers-by, rain or no rain, is entirely foreign to this New Yorker. I always sang anyway, and ignored whoever might hear. Of course I'm the daughter of a man who once walked cheerfully down a Chicago street singing, "I'm a basset hound, I'm a basset hound!" at the top of his voice. :)
