chaoswolf and I just got back from the 30^th anniversary concert of San Jose Taiko. It also featured two slightly older Taiko groups, Kinnara Taiko of Los Angeles (1969), and San Francisco Taiko Dojo (1968).

Taiko, for those who haven't encountered this Japanese and Japanese-American art form, is a particularly athletic -- and spectacular -- style of drumming. Think of it as a combination of percussion, dance, and martial arts.

It was good.
