Just got back from voting in California's 150-ring circus. What baffles me is that people don't seem to remember that it was Republican policies, like ill-considered deregulation and irresponsible tax-cuts, that got California into its current budget mess in the first place.

Date: 2003-10-07 08:50 pm (UTC)But Davis increased spending with no regards for the outcome. Davis and the democrat controlled legislature have had -5- years to run this state. And they've run it into the ground. Blaming it on the Republican's who haven't had a say in anything in many years and only finally this year stopped taxes from being raised is the absolute height of insanity, and shows you have not been paying ANY attention.
Rather than blaming Republicans, maybe you should become more active in your party (I'm assuming you are a democrat) and do something about folks like Davis who are giving your party a bad name, instead of ignoring the facts and blaming the boogey man.
And no I am NOT a Republican.
