Busy weekend

mdlbearSaturday afternoon we went to a wedding -- great fun; these are people we've known for years in fandom and the SCA. It's nice to go to a mundane social event where we actually know most of the people. Probably at least half of the guests have LJ's, but unlike ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lysana most of them aren't on my friends list.
Sunday was the Lamplighters' annual Gala. This is a parody incorporating music from past shows, and poking fun at recent current events. This time the fun included jabs at The Producers (the framing story), Chicago (Mikago), Urinetown (Snotville), California's gubernator-elect, George Bush, Oracle, and so on.
I spent much of the rest of the weekend trying, with limited success, to catch up on my sleep. Not much writing progress to report, but see the next post for an update.
