Colleen recently acquired a paraffin bath to treat the arthritis in her hands. I've tried it. It works.

I like to do the dishes in the morning. My hands are usually pretty bad when I get up, and improve over the course of the morning. Warm water. On my hands.

How long has this been going on without my noticing it? 20 years, maybe? Dumb bear.

Many bahrs are not morning bahrs. Some bahrs take longer than others to clue in.

I actually enjoy doing the dishes, too.

We have two of those paraffin baths. We use those once in a while. They're large enough to do feet as well.

I know how to work around that.

you can buy a paraffin brush to do knees n elbows. A good supplier for those who don't have massage licenses is massagewarehouse.com, since they don't care as long as your money is good. I checked and they have only the smaller facial brush right now, but it *will* work for knees, you just use more brush strokes. :D

CORRECTION: I went looking for something else and the site "suggested" the body paraffin brush. (shrug) It might be in stock after all. (mumble technology) Link here: http://www.massagewarehouse.com/itemdetail~item~280+0001.asp

I wonder if this is why I am so damned stubborn about washing dishes by hand, besides the fact that I've never had a dishwasher that gets my dishes clean enough. I also took a lot of teasing when I bought my current house that what I bought was a swimming pool and a master bath with a Roman tub, and I was damn lucky they threw in the rest of house on the deal. Warm water is such a blessing for arthritics. The paraffin baths are lovely but lowering myself into a hot tub at the end of the day and getting instant relief of pain is just priceless.
