On the whole a good con. Not as big as a Baycon; the filk circles were small but had some really great singing. I did more singing on Friday night; Saturday I mostly listened and only sang two songs (one before I went party-hopping, one after).

Bought six new filk CDs at DAG, and a couple of new buttons (more because I needed change than because I needed buttons). Also a blinky-light, which I attached behind my beard for the Saturday night parties. A few people remarked on it.

The parties were pretty dead.

Didn't do much on Sunday; all the panels I would have wanted to go to were scheduled either around noon, when we were packing up, or after 2pm, when we were gone. Actually, we didn't get out of the parking lot until 2:30, which is really too late.

Packing up was easy. Getting out of the hotel was harder; [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf really wanted to go to the dead dog party. Impossible. She could have done it by getting a crash space and a ride back, except that she had a term paper to finish and some people to meet with about another term project on Monday afternoon. Her attitude really made the morning unpleasant; she excused by the fact that she hadn't slept at all the previous night.

The drive back was tiring: six hours straight through with only one rest stop (Gaviota) and one gas stop (Buellton). But I wanted to maximize daylight driving time, and minimize the chance of getting sleepy as I always do after a meal. Arrived home at 8:30pm. [livejournal.com profile] chaoswolf slept all the way back; Emmy was actually awake for many of the last few hours of the trip.
