chaoswolf has only two more 7:30 classes this quarter; it is to be hoped that she won't have any next term. It doesn't help that Emmy usually wants to be driven to school, about 15 minutes after I get back from dropping off her sister.

All told, I should have about an extra hour in the morning for either sleeping or writing.

I always drive the girls to school at the same time, even though they usually don't start at the same time. A1 will hang out at school for 30-45 minutes before her first class and do homework; sometimes I drop A2 off at their mom's rather than taking her directly to school, and she walks or gets a ride from there. (Granted, that's a flexibility not available in your situation...)

Next year they'll actually attend the same physical school. That should simplify things somewhat...although they'll probably still have wildly divergent schedules.

Mine have had divergent schedules for over a year now; year before last their schedules were close enough (and their schools were right next to each other) that I could make a single trip.

Since mine are 7 years apart, there's next to no chance that they'll both be attending the same school at the same time.

Have you and chaoswolf ever discussed her learning to drive? That'd solve half your problem and give her a skill she needs anyway.

First of all, she doesn't seem to be interested at the moment. (I don't profess to understand exactly why, but she's been resisting it since she turned 16.)

Secondly, it wouldn't solve the problem unless she had her own car; this is a major expense that we (since I would presumably be paying for insurance) don't need.

Third, it still wouldn't solve the problem of chaoswolf being next-to-impossible to wake up in the morning. She usually sleeps in the car during the 20 minutes it takes me to drive her to school.

The real solution is for her not to schedule classes for 7:30am; I think she has that figured out now. (It wasn't a real option this time because she registered for classes late and there weren't enough other choices.)
