Colleen[23]: (Lack of) progress

So, apparently because Kaiser home health are dragging their collective feet, Colleen will be coming home on Monday. It's not all bad: I'll have more time to get the house in order, and it'll simplify the weekend's logistics a little. But it's mostly bad, and Colleen is, understandably, nearly mad enough to throw things. I'm less upset, but that's because I'm a pessimist and I'm not the one in there.

In other news, I bought a commode. Whee. It doubles as a booster for too-short toilet seats, such as one finds in most hotels.

We are, but we'll manage. At least it means she'll be able to go out shopping over the weekend without having to pretend to anyone that she can't.

At least you folks have a plan so it's not all hurry up and wait. And the commode will be useful.

Colleen was mentioning probable surgery today. Any news on that front?

She has a radiology appointment Friday, so we'll probably find out about surgery about the same time as she's going home.

The commode will definitely be useful; no way she's going to man-handle an IV pump going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Cool. She was saying that she *thought* that the IV tubing would go that far but in the middle of the night, that could be a really bad, bad test.

*No way* it'll go that far. The pump is portable, though; she might be able to sling it over her shoulder and go. OTOH it's heavy, and more than likely too much for her to handle.
