My friend is dying

There's not much else to say, really. I've known her since we met on alt.callahans all those many years ago.

Thanks. I am, unfortunately, getting to the age where it starts happening more often. But that doesn't make it hurt any less. I wouldn't want it to, anyway.

This year's been something of an emotional rollercoaster ride.
