Done Since 2022-04-10
2022-04-17 11:39 amUp and down this week; I'm okay-ish now, and got a fair amount done. The Seder last night at M and J's (m and j's other parents) was fun and made up for a lot of the rest of the week. I did most of the work for my income tax (except for deductions and credits; might or might not make a difference but since I'm getting a refund even with the standard dedduction I'm not feeling much pressure). But that and tax paperwork for Mom's estate made for a lot of stress and a minor meltdown Monday. So... mixed.
I made chicken stir-fry Wednesday -- I'm sort of the household's back-up cook. I thought it was too bland; N told me I should stop apologizing, and everyone liked it. It was almost but not quite like the Cantonese food I remember from my East Coast days -- I'll have to look up some recipes to figure out what it was missing. Everyone else in the household is a spice wimp.
I had take-out Mexican for lunch on Tuesday, from the little taqueria two blocks up Aurora, mainly because I needed to get a picture of a bottle of lime soda for Tuesday's post on GoingSideways.blog. But I'll take any excuse for fish tacos.
