* shoulder rub from Tabby
A fairly busy day; a lot of stuff got mailed. Getting the taxes off, in particular, was a great relief. I walked down to the pond, but the water was too murky to see the koi.
The usual aches and pains; they didn't get bad until evening; I took some cyclobenzaprine before going to bed. I'm not sure which helped more: that, or the shoulder rub I got from T a little before she left. It would be nice if my body would just plain work. That, and my flying car...
The day's link sausage consists of JsonML, a cool markup and templating system that can operate on the
browser side of the web, and this
heartwarming story about a high school football team going pink to
fight breast cancer (link from
pocketnaomi).

Date: 2009-10-16 05:02 pm (UTC)It wasn't so much a struggle to do them (it only took a few hours scattered across maybe a dozen or so scattered days) as it was a struggle to find the motivation.
That's true of most, if not all, tasks I find unpleasant. And even some I find pleasant, but harder (or something) than reading LJ.

Date: 2009-10-17 03:30 am (UTC)Doing things we find unpleasant, even if necessary is never a thing we do the wise way, getting it done and over with! I also am well acquainted with this phenomenon as well. *winkz* I have certain things, like paying bills, that I avoid like the plague, due mainly to lack of finances...but when I simply must get them done, I manage, somehow.
So, perhaps, try (as I _try_) to do those unpleasant things First, then do something to reward yourself for the unpleasantness...it sometimes works for me.
**HUGS** right back atchya!
