  & bought beef jerky and chocolate at Fry's.  Didn't help mood much.

  * date night:  dinner at home; drive.  Pleasant.

Not such a good day. I was oddly depressed, for no obvious reason. Dwelling on... what? Changing health care plans? Changing corporate culture? Retirement? Money in general? Don't know, but do not like.

A drive after dinner with Colleen helped a lot, as did some good snuggle, but...

And then there was that pressure/pain from something seemingly in or behind my right eyeball. What's up with that? (Nothing visible, no effect on my vision; still a lingering feeling of slight pressure but not hurting. More like an odd, slight headache at this point.)

When I feel pain behind, or near, my eyes (inside my head), it's almost always one of two things: either caffeine withdrawal, which (so far) is always symmetrical, behind both eyes; or one of my sinuses has gotten more clogged/pressurized than the others. IANAD, YMMV, etc.

It could also be a somewhat atypical form of eyestrain, where one or another of the muscles in or around the eyeball start to hurt from overwork. However, I don't know what the situation is like where you are, but here in New Jersey, the annual Ragweed Festival is in full swing...

Pressure behind eyes is a sinus headache for me, or a low pressure system approaching.
Hope it recedes soon. I had a low-level headache that didn't respond to Advil yesterday, too

I sometimes get pressure behind one of my eyes when I am getting a pre-migraine halo. It lets me know to take some preventative meds.

I'm another one who would have those symptoms from a sinus headache trying to take hold. Changes in the atmospheric pressure never used to affect me but now they will often trigger such effects. Not fun, hope it goes away quickly!

I find that when I get eye pain, I sit back with a good movie/cartoon and watch it from a distance. Sitting at the computer doesn't make it better, but watching from a distance does.

As for getting depressed for no reason: I'm a depressive. I'm no longer medicated. It happens. I make friends and hang out with them. Come out of your gorram cave and start hanging out with your friends! I know you have some.... < /smart@$$>
