Thankful Thursday

Hmm. Today I'm grateful for

• not being out of money yet,
• online courses I can take,
• a housemate, L, who can do things sometimes when I'm not up to it,
• the household cats: Colleen, Ticia, and Desti,
• L's new T-Mobile femtocell (which doesn't help me and Colleen, but we have signal from AT&T; the rest of the family is on T-Mob and our house is in a dead zone)
• Mom.

Yeah; just plug it in and wait (for up to two hours!) for it to set itself up.

It has a GPS so that you can call 911 through it and they'll know where it is.

Should have gotten one a year ago for N, but she could sort of get signal. L's phone was old enough that not only did it not get any signal at all, but it wouldn't connect to the femtocell, which is 3G/4G.

(They gave her a new phone along with the cell. She'd had the old one for 11 years.)

11. Years. Holy CRAP. I thought I was bad with the S5...

Though if I can persuade the S5 to run Linux, I might just resurrect it...

I don't think it's an android phone, and in any case she doesn't have a data plan
