Done Since 2019-10-27
2019-11-03 03:14 pmNot a bad week. A sizable fraction of Colleen's intestinal problems may have been due to the antibiotics she was on; much less troublesome since she finished them mid-week. Between that, the pressure sore on her butt healing, and what seems to have been a small shift in attitude on my part, things have been going much more smoothly.
Started the week with a trip down to Seattle to spend the afternoon and evening with the other half of the family -- both of N's kids and the Bonus Teenager. Monday my singing lesson started early, and ran long because there was a lot to talk about. Including "Ship of Stone", which of course was the song we worked on. Because Pegasus.
I am now on the third day of NaBloPoMo (National Blog-Posting Month); expect to see post- and word-counts as a colophon. The script I use for those is MakeStuff/blogging/word-count. I think the only thing even remotely ingenious is using pandoc(1) to convert the post to plain text before counting words -- that gets rid of all the HTML tags that would artificially inflate the count. (Whether one wants to inflate the count is another matter. I don't, but YMMV.) Last year I missed three days. We'll see.
