Evil in the bedroom, episode 3 (Kill Bill)

OK, plan B (since WinXP seems to be broken by design) -- anyone know how to make it print to either a Unix (lpr) or CUPS/IPP printer? In particular, anyone out there know what the name should be?

XP, at least, appears to know how to print to networked printers, and both ports 515 and 631 are open.

Not being able to use Windows filesharing is a minor but not insurmountable problem, since I can always use WebDAV, which works over HTTP.

Just a note of appreciation for those delightful avatars -- the ursine fractal, the mouse-on-mouse (ghod, that's killing -- I have got to score that somewhere and send it to the keyboardist in our band -- preferably not at work, given the probable resulting howl) and the Kill Bill Linux penguin (ditto). I don't know nearly enough about enough to be able to talk cyber-arcana at rarefied levels, but I've edited enough computer books to know at least a few great guffaws when I see 'em. Thanks!
