Bad Ass Music Stands

$395 fully loaded, which does seem a bit extreme, but it would clean up my recording work area considerably. Found via an ad in the back pages of Electronic Musician.

I presently do my recording (voice and guitar) in the space between the bed and the wall: roughly a 1m gap crammed with a music stand, a guitar stand, two mic stands with booms, a folding table for the computer keyboard and trackball, and a set of bookshelves that hold the LCD monitor (surreptitiously borrowed from work) and the computer. This thing would replace the music stand, the mic stands, and the guitar stand. You bet I've contemplated it.

But I'd probably be better off with some kind of do-it-yourself construction. Time to clear a decade's worth of junk off the workbench and dust the cobwebs off the tablesaw.

And the guitar stand? Does it have something lower down for holding guitars that's not in the photo?

Actually, I don't think so. But there are hooks for hanging guitars that can be attached to mic stands or even walls -- with this one I'd probably have to use a wall-mount hook with a U-bolt around the stand.
